A project to improve the drainage of the bottom of the Common and instate two football pitches for informal matches has won a competetive bid decided by public voting. Work is likely to be carried out before Spring 2010.
Six willow trees have been planted near the playground to try and reduce flooding of the nearby footpath and water-logging of the surrounding area.
