Friends of Streatham Common

More details and events will be added as they are confirmed. If we know of events that are not under the auspices of the Friends of Streatham Common but may be of interest to members, they are listed at the end.

January 23rd. 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Meet in the car park or join the working group at any time. Give a helping hand with conservation work.

April 5th (Easter Monday). In the Rookery.

April 10th at 9.00 am. Meet at the Rookery Cafe. Take a leisurely stroll and find out what birds are about this spring. Have the first of the summer visitors arrived? Waterproof footwear advised. Bring binoculars if you can. Children welcome. Dogs best left at home.

May 8th at 9.30 am. Meet at the Rookery Cafe to join in the annual check on which of the bird boxes are occupied and by whom. Along the way, listen to the Common's birds in full spring song and learn to recognise some of the songs. Waterproof footwear advised. Bring binoculars if you can. Children welcome. Dogs best left at home.

May 15th or 16th (to be confirmed). Enter our cake baking competition, which forms part of the Streatham Food Festival, and take part in events such as tug of war, giant chess etc.

June 13th from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. John Brown and friends will be making music for your entertainment. A free event.

June 16th. Learn more about the Friends and have your say at our Annual General Meeting.

July 3rd (to be confirmed). Visit the Friends' gazebo at the opening event of the Streatham Festival.

July 11th. Merchant of Venice.
